Our story goes as far back as 1988, to an age of individual identity and eccentric fashions. Twenty-five years later we still think life is fun and distinctive and we still hold true to our original ethos of personalized individuality.
From the onset, we - along with our international designers who, in the main, our Italian - design and craft exquisite jewellery pieces for carefully selected boutiques, outlets, fashion designers and artists, both here in Lebanon and internationally. Over a decade later a new Millennium beckoned and great expectations filled the air, to which we were not immune.
In the early part of a brand new century, we switched our business format from wholesale to retail and launched our very first boutique at the Rotana Gefinor Hotel, Beirut. Nine years of client satisfaction, success and growth followed. In 2010 we chose Beirut Central District as the location for our new boutique, which, incidentally, was designed by the internationally acclaimed New York design office, Soma Architects.
And so an incredible journey of individual possibilities continues…

We are two Lebanese sisters Karine and Norma Koukjian. 2013 is a celebratory year for us. It was 25 years ago that we, along with our brother designer and artist Pierre Koukjian, embarked upon our jewellery design career. Together we created a family run business, KOUKJIAN DESIGNERS’ JEWELLERY.
We, Norma and I, decided to study gemology at Germany’s Idar Oberstein. At the start of the new millennium both of us then decided to move into the retail business, and to be the first trend setters in the jewellery business, in Lebanon and the region. With lots of hard work, luck and fun, and the help of our international designers, we grew our business to where it is today.
